Historic American Newspapers- "The Library of Congress offers a database of digitized American newspapers in an ongoing project as part of the National Digital Newspaper Program. As of March 2007, selected newspapers from California, the District of Columbia, Florida, Kentucky, New York, Utah and Virginia for the years 1900-1910 have been digitized. Chronicling America also features a directory of American newspaper titles from 1690 to the present. Search by state, county, city, publication date, frequency, language, ethnic presses, and newspapers published by labor groups."

New York Times Archives - Freely-available archival content will include archives between 1851-1922, and content from 1922 to the present. Change the drop down to: NYT - Archive 1851-1980 and add a search term in the box to the left. When you find an article note the title, date and issue number. The Miles City Public Library has the microfilm and will print the article for 10 cents a page.
